Flow Setting: A New Approach to Achieving Your Goals

So, we've all been taught to set goals in this specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) way. But what if that just doesn't do it for you? What if it leaves you feeling totally bummed out and overwhelmed? That's where Flow Setting comes in! Instead of focusing on achievement and success, Flow Setting is all about finding your flow - that feeling of being totally in the zone and energized. In this blog, I'll give you the lowdown on Flow Setting and how it can help you find your groove.


The Need for Connection

As human beings, we all crave connection and love - it's a basic need for all of us. But sometimes we go looking for it in all the wrong places and end up feeling like we're not good enough based on what we do or what other people think of us. This can start a vicious cycle of negativity, triggering a stress cycle. 

The stress cycle is caused by reactions and perceptions based on unhealthy or false beliefs. This cycle can lead to push energy, stress energy, and a cycle of pushing and struggling. To break free from this cycle, you’ll need to identify and address the underlying causes of stress.

Flow is an inner sense of peace, likening it to being in the eye of a storm, where there is stillness and peace regardless of the chaos surrounding you.

Adopting a vision mentality involves creating a vision for your life and focusing on the journey rather than the destination. This approach involves setting benchmarks rather than goals and celebrating each milestone as they are reached. 


It's also important to have fun and be open to exploration and discovery rather than forcing or molding yourself to fit a specific mold.

Healing from Old Trauma

To heal from old trauma, it is essential to identify and address the underlying beliefs that are causing stress and triggering a stress cycle. This involves exploring physical sensations associated with the trauma, creating new neural pathways, and connecting to inner peace and stillness. 

Seeking the guidance of a therapist or mental health professional can also be helpful in this process.

Responding to Controlling Individuals

Sometimes you will have someone trying to control certain situations or aspects of your life. The best way to deal with controlling friends or family is to focus on managing your own responses and perceptions. 

This involves recognizing that you cannot control the other person's behavior, but you can control how you react to it. It's an opportunity for personal growth and developing emotional intelligence and resilience.
