3 Ways to Discover Your Inner Guru Fast

You already have the wisdom and power within you to help guide you through life's challenges. Every person has access to their own inner guru. Some call it their intuition, inner voice, divine connection, universal source, or Christ consciousness. I call it my Inner Guru. 


When you tap into your inner guru and have a journey of self-discovery, you’ll lead a more fulfilling and satisfying life. When tuning into this intuition, we can make positive life changes, live more intentionally, and create greater meaning for ourselves. 


But how do you connect with your Inner Guru?  Keep reading!

  1. Trust what your Inner Guru is telling you

Our inner voice is often speaking to us. Our bodies have a language, and it is talking to us too. It guides us and our connection to the Divine. This connection is precious and invaluable, and we must make space to listen closely so we can continue to receive its wisdom and tap into its power.

When you trust your inner voice, intuition, or Inner Guru, you connect to the part of you that speaks the truth about who you really are. We all share similar needs as human and spiritual beings, but we all have unique circumstances and ways of seeing the world. Your Inner Guru always has your back, always knows what you need, and is always connected to the answers that are unique to YOU. 


The most critical skill you can ever learn is emotional intelligence, resilience, and listening to your inner voice of wisdom and truth.  The world is not getting any easier.  It’s becoming more complicated and full of chaos.  With these challenges intensifying, the world needs to start developing skills to face them head-on with grace and confidence to create a beautiful life for ourselves regardless of the circumstances. 


When your Inner Guru gives you the answers, and you trust them and act on them, you’ll get results every time. 

  1. Change Your Mindset

Your Inner Guru has all the answers you need, but it can only be accessed if you learn to listen and trust yourself. This means setting aside time each day to meditate, reflect, or simply sit in stillness.  It means taking time to explore feelings and reactions so you can become familiar with where your intuition is leading you. 


To do this, start by challenging the negative thoughts that often cloud our minds and replace them with positive affirmations and mantras. As you practice this more and more, you will begin to see a shift in your mindset from fear and doubt to trust and possibility. 


Our brains have a thought cycle that they typically follow. The more we learn how to tap into our Inner Guru, the easier this thought cycle will become.


1. Experience/Circumstance

When we have a particular experience, our brain tries to make sense of it. It  can be something that we experience that we choose or something that happens that is out of our control. 


2. Thought/Story

Our brain tries to make sense of the experience.  It’s the natural human response for our brain to try to protect us. We perceive things one way and respond to that with a thought or story. Those thoughts and stories start evoking emotions or feelings you’re having about that experience. 


3. Feeling/Emotion

We respond to our decisions about ourselves and our circumstances. We may or may not be able to control our experiences, but we can do something about managing our emotional responses. 


4. Action/Response

Sometimes, our emotions are gut reactions, but there are things we can do to manage them in a way that shifts our actions and response into something more productive. 


5. Result/Physical reality

When we start shifting our thoughts and stories to identify how they 

shape our realities, we get to be in the driver's seat.

  1. The Truth Shall Set You Free

When we identify where our thoughts have become stories and where they don’t align with the truth of the moment, we will become the CEO of your body. Tapping into your Inner Guru will help you realize the truth in your circumstances.  You’ll weed out the negative thoughts or perceptions about certain circumstances. 


Long ago, I received a shut-off notice on my front door. My neighbor brought it to my attention, and I was mortified that they knew we were in a rough financial spot. I tried to make sense of it and tell myself a story that my husband was careless.


I did not want anyone to see the skeletons in my closet. The feelings and stories I told myself about this experience led me to react negatively toward my husband.

My reaction caused strain and pain in our marriage for years. 


The truth was our bill was overdue. The truth was my husband loves our family. The truth was my husband is human, but not negligent. He is also on the ADD spectrum and sometimes can forget things.  


If your thoughts do not align with reality or what you truly desire to create, you will continue to create something you do not want.


For a long time, I was in scarcity mode. I thought I wasn’t good enough or that I was doing something to deserve the struggles.  My list of excuses about my reality was long!  


My thoughts and belief programs needed an intervention. When you are honest with yourself to identify the thoughts and stories you’re telling yourself, you’ll begin to change your current reality. 


The changes needed to tap into the endless possibilities and abundance waiting for you are simpler than you think!
